The MetroDukes chapter promotes JMU involvement and social interaction to more than 30,000 alumni in the DC Metro area. The chapter hosts a variety of events, such as social and athletic outings, community service projects, and networking opportunities. The MetroDukes chapter additionally funds a scholarship awarded to incoming freshmen from the DC Metro area. The funds for the scholarship are raised through events such as Crabfest and our March Madness bracket challenge, as well as through various sponsorships throughout the year.
